GRUPO MARTINEZ BIERZO has carried out an identification and evaluation of its environmental aspects, evaluating consumption, waste, discharges, emissions, etc. in each of its processes. Derived from the Significant Environmental Aspects detected the following environmental objectives for 2023 are settled:
“100% of the energy consumed had to come from renewable energy.
And at least 30% of the energy consumed had to be self-consumption of renewable energies”
To date, all energy consumption comes from renewable energy (classification A) and the self-consumption data recorded up to September 2023 indicate an adequate achievement, since only until that date we have imported 69% of the energy consumed on average. This implies a self-consumption of 31%. It is important to mention that it will be necessary to end the year to assess this result since the months of October, November and December may vary this data considerably.
